Excuse me ya'll no disrespect but...

Can we for a minute look at the humor of the Kanye vs. Taylor Swift Beef? When I first saw this during the MTV Awards, I laughed. I thought it was so funny, Swift looked stunned as did the rest of the people watching the show. I know it was rude but I like to look at the comedic side of things. Beyonce seemed to have said "Alright Kanye"! One thing my sister did bring to my attention, Swift never said Thank You to Beyonce for allowing her to say her thank you speech. Though it was later stated that MTV set that up, she still should have said "Thank You Beyonce for doing this".

Maybe he is cool...

It seems so crazy. Jay-Z on Oprah, Jay-Z on Bill Maher, Jay-Z everywhere. With the release of his latest album Blueprint 3, Jay-Z has been doing a lot of promotion for this album. He was the first music guest on Jay Leno's late night tv show along with Kayne West and Rhianna. I thought to myself, "have I ever seen this much hoopla over any of his past release?". NO! I've been a fan of Jay-Z since 97. The first album I ever heard from him was "In my Lifetime, Vol.1". I then went back to listen to the street classic Reasonable Doubt released in 1996. I ask "How come it seems like Jay-Z is just coming out with his first album"? It seems like his music is now accepted and great for mainstream. He has been taken away from the streets completely and is now for them. This is the same way I felt when I saw the change in Harlem's own Rucker Park, It seem like a different audience was starting to accept it. Now with so many people loving Jay-Z it seems the same way. I hope with all the attention he continues to make music for the people who have been his supporters from the beginning.
So now he's cool, he's such a great guy. His lyrics mean so much, he came from nothing..blah, blah, blah. Jay-Z is just a dude from the projects that rapped his way out the hood. His lyrics just talk about shit that happens in the hood any day. I guess it's poetry when he talks about slinging rocks, smoking weed, drug deals, fast cars and women, and now the hottest chick in the game wearing his chain.
Yea, OK!

Since you been gone...
It's been a long time I shouldn't left you, without a good blog to step too. I must admit, it has been some time since the last post. The "Summer of Bleek" is over. Started off wrong with the car accident and ended right going back to work. Some things on my mind soon to post. Including artwork, news, sports, and anything that comes to mind.

This young man wildin'

Glad to see lately more older men taking a role in mentoring young men. While we have seen the mistakes Michael Vick has made, he has future Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy as a mentor to him. What a way to go out on top. Win the Super Bowl, retire and help young men all over the country in and out of prison. One if his first challenges is to get Vick back into the NFL and living a productive life. Our next mentor has come as member of my favorite NBA team in Chauncey Billups of the Denver Nuggets. After a series of events this summer JR Smith is not having a good off-season. After being released from prison he posted some questionable comments on his twitter account. Some believing that he was involved in the Blood street gang. By replacing all words that included the letter c with k's because as a member of the bloods I guess you can't write the letter c. I remember in junior high school this girl that was in the bloods showed me her blood book, and I remember her not writing c's. Foolish.
So that lead me back to Chauncey who has decided to move in with JR for the remainder of August help him out a bit. “We’ve got some talking to do,’’ Billups said in an interview with HoopsHype.com. Smith is currently staying in Las Vegas, and that's where Chauncey will travel to help this young man who obliviously doesn't appreciate the privilege to play in the NBA

I'm Back!!!

Well not yet!
So in a series of events we now know that we have Michael Vick back into the NFL of some what. The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has allowed Vick to sign with a team, play the final 2 preseason games and can be active by week 6. This also includes participating in all team practice sessions. If he does the right thing from here on out he can be active as early as week 1 or 2. With Vick having sat the last two years he might come out an even better QB then when he left. We'll see, he is 29. Shout out to Tony Dungy who has decided to be Vick's mentor. I like the fact that he's helping him turn his life around. Great Job!
So now the question you maybe asking yourself is...."anybody trying to sign that dude?". Well according to Senior writer John Clayton of ESPN, he has stated that the phones are ringing!
I was hosting a meeting with some colleagues of mine and we were talking about this. We all knew that as soon as Vick was reinstated that teams would call to see how Vick was doing. I guess that's a nice way of saying "hey, how u feel, think you can play?".
Congrats, I can't wait till the announcer of any football stadium says "From Virginia Tech, Michael Vick". And the crowd goes nuts! And believe me, they will!
How long will it take him to take off running and not pass. I think he first couple downs he'll try to throw from the pocket. Complete one or two passes and before you know it he'll be back to his old ways that we like the most. It won't be long before he takes off running for a 13 yard gain. Put my bet in the books that the first rush attempt will be a 13+ yard gain.
